My favorite artist/singer passed away... The recent deaths of Joe Cocker, Prince, and David Bowie affected me, however this is much stronger...
A legacy of albums and songs that I grew up listening throughout my entire life: in moments of joy, sadness, celebrations and parties, heartbreaks, sleepless nights, everything... Even in my brother's wedding when I chose some of the songs.
Many have criticized George for being homosexual, but in reality, he was far more courageous than many men who are still alive and frowned upon him. It took a lot of bravery to publicly assume his sexuality in this prejudiced society, and not every person is capable of doing so.
May his example of success, courage, perseverance, tolerance, humanity and kindness live on forever.
May he rest in peace.
