Hackers stole a bunch of data from Sony Pictures a while back and released a bunch of shit online. That's fine and whatever but now they are threatening the staff at Sony Pictures with actual physical harm, a la 9/11. Why are they doing this? Because of a stupid Seth Rogan and James Franco movie called The Interview was set for a Christmas release. The movie is about North Korea and its dictator Kim Jong-Un. In it, Un is killed.

Sony caving to the cyber terrorist demands sets a dangerous precedent. Now cyber criminals have real leverage to get their way and it legitimizes their tactic of steal and threaten. There is no way Sony should have caved in to their demands. It's not even like North Korea is a real country that can actually retaliate against America anyway, they don't even have the actual backing of China anymore, to China they are just an embarrassing mistake.

Fucking Sony. Fucking up the internet since the PS3 hack of 2011.

Here is the trailer:

TBH South Korea would steamroll through with relative ease without US help.
